I planned our next Amnesty meeting. Our topic is Troy Davis who has been sentenced for the capital punishment. All the jury's decision is based on nine eyewitness testimonies. Seven out of nine eyewitnesses have pulled back their testimonies because the police used "questionable methods" to attain them and one of the witnesses who has not pulled back their testimony would be accused for murdering the victim unless Troy Davis was not found guilty. The police has not found any DNA evidence nor the weapon that the victim was killed with. This sounds really ambiguous, and that is why I feel that Troy Davis should be at least granted a new trial or his punishment should be less severe.
